Description #
This educational unit is created to improve learners’ ability of initial evaluation and management in acute emergency cases, emphasizing on high quality CPR and the essentials of team work in an inter-professional environment.
The healthcare providers should know the guidelines of ACLS, ATLS primary and secondary survey and CRM basics.
This educational unit is designed on both cognitive and psychomotor aspects of resuscitation and communication skills.
The session will consist of Pre-reading materials, which includes ACLS and ATLS guidelines and algorithms (Cognitive phase), followed by hands on practicing the High Quality CPR on “Ambusmart Man”, as well as participating in simulation scenarios using Human Patient Simulators (Psychomotor phase).
By the end of this workshop, the participants will become more confident in managing a critically ill patient using their enforced clinical, practical and communication skills.

- Understand the concept and components of simulation process in health care education
- Become familiar with the use of simulation in the interprofessional team training and communication skills
- Practice their skills of high quality CPR, ACLS and ATLS guidelines
