Description #
This lecture begins with some context around cancer, including a biological review and general toxicity considerations. We will then look at an overview of treatment approaches, including cytotoxic chemotherapy and its possible toxicity, hormone-based treatments, biological therapies, genetic mutations, cell proliferation, alkylating agents, platinums, anthracylines and antimetabolites. We will also look at microtubule inhibitors, combination chemotherapy, and anti-androgens, among other factors in anti-cancer pharmacology.
