Description #
In this lecture students will review factors influencing variability in response to drug therapy and understand the scope and definitions of drug interactions. From there we look at the three general mechanisms of drug interaction, and considerations for these mechanisms. Other topics this lecture will cover include drug disposition in fetus/neonate, the pharmacological implications and aspects of of age-related changes, alteration of sensitivity, practical aspects of drug dosing in perinate, implications for breast feeding. In closing students will review practical conclusions to this study in variability in response to drugs.
